Congratulations to Fajar Sodik, a student of the Islamic Banking Study Program 2019, Maili Launa Tayiba, a student of the Islamic Economics Study Program 2019, and Moh Sudah, a student of the Islamic Banking Study Program 2020, for their proud achievements and success.

They represented FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga as debaters in the Economics debate competition organized by FORNASMEBI (National Forum for Islamic Economics and Business) Region III, as part of the Islamic Economics Jamboree (JES) activities at IAIN Purwokerto on May 26, 2021.

JES is part of a series of regional working meetings and the inauguration of the Region III FORNASMEBI officials for DIY-Central Java. The JES event spanned three days, from May 25-27, 2021.

During the JES event, various competitions were held to enhance the vibrancy of the working meeting and the official induction, including the Short Film Competition, Business Plan, Economic Debate, and Scientific Writing. Seven campuses participated in these competitions, namely UIN Sunan Kalijaga, UIN Walisongo Semarang, IAIN Purwokerto, IAIN Salatiga, IAIN Surakarta, IAIN Pekalongan, and IAIN Kudus.

The series of debate competitions commenced with the collection of videos, followed by the selection of the top 2 teams, who then competed again in the final round to determine the first-place winner.

The FEBI UIN Suka debate team gave their all and secured first place in the Economic Debate by triumphing over the host team, IAIN Purwokerto, in the final round.

Hopefully, the achievement of the FEBI debate team can inspire other Islamic Banking students to strive for excellence and contribute to FEBI’s journey towards becoming an outstanding and dignified campus.
